How we relax at home
It is natural to feel tense, our fight or flight senses are in overdrive!
1. Breath deep …and again
“For a few minutes each day I teach my children to visualise and slowly for the count of 5: ‘smell the flowers and blow out the candles’ – I actually do this because it helps me focus on my breath too.”
2. Switch off
“I am only allowing myself a 30-minute update on Covid-19’ each day. I then focus on balancing between quiet time and tuning in to either fun music, a light-hearted book or a TV show. I know this escape is essential for keeping strong for myself and my family.”
